Hey There

More than a decade ago, after working as a publishing editor and educational researcher, I stepped into the world of translation by pure chance and quickly realized it is where my heart lay. Since then, I've worked full-time, part-time, and freelance, the last of which is the type of work I feel most comfortable with. At least for the time being.

Here are some of my traits/abilities in this industry.

I can handle project management and proofread about 3 million target words (Chinese characters) in fields such as Art in about two years.

I can accomplish tasks in many areas, but I intend to focus on Media, Government & Legal, Medical, Educational, and Leisure & Tourism.

I am an incorrigible perfectionist in my work - as long as I can get paid reasonably.

I'm not tech-savvy but always eager to learn what's trending and how to use new tools when necessary.

Oops, guilty: I don't have any relevant certifications or memberships. However, I do plan to obtain one or two of either to make this exciting journey more sustainable.
